Many of you have seen the scroll sawn fabric "pictures" that Karl Taylor and Hans Meier have brought to Show and Tell. In this class, Karl will discuss the type of wood he uses, the criteria he uses to select fabric and the glue selection. He will then discuss the construction process - how to apply the fabric, how to cut the wood (without shredding the fabric), adding risers to create a 3D effect, and how to assemble the pieces in an orderly fashion. Once the project is completed, Hans Meier will show how to apply a frame and then discuss techniques to market and sell the completed project. This has never been described at a Saturday meeting so it should be very interesting!
