In this class, Dan Douthart will demonstrate how he makes wooden jewelry on a lathe.  He will start by making a pendant type necklace with a scroll chuck on a lathe.  Dan, will finish the piece with C/A glue and then buff it with EEE Ultra Shine Paste Wax.  He will then make a medallion type necklace using homemade fixtures for turning and finishing the piece.  This piece will be sealed with C/A glue and then sprayed with Acrylic.  Dan will also show how he inserts a sterling silver bale into a necklace piece.  All of these techniques can also be used to make ear-rings.  Many of the processes can also be used for other woodworking projects.
