Sharpening Bench Chisels

In recent months, many GWA members have requested a class about different sharpening techniques. To address this request, Bob Brokaw and John Eaton will discuss the different methods you can use to sharpen a set of bench chisels. They will demonstrate the Jet Slow Speed Wet Sharpener system, the Scary Sharp Sandpaper System, the use of a Japanese water stone, and the use of various stones and hones. They will cover the costs, advantages and disadvantages of each sharpening approach. At the end of the class, the Club will raffle a set of chisels that have been sharpened. If you'd like to learn more about this subject, as well as get a chance at winning the chisels, then this class is for you! (If time permits, they will also sharpen a scraper and/or plane iron.)
