My concept of the perfect porch or outdoor swing would be the example Jimmy Rocker presented at our class this week. It's a classic and I'm thinking there are two in my future. Front porch and back yard. Thanks for the plan and motivation Jimmy, perfect seasonal timing.

Jimmy's hour seemed to pass all too quickly because his well thought out class was interesting beginning to end. He made a point that the tools required could be basic as long as they are maintained and sharp. I think I understand quatersawn lumber now and we all got helpful tips in selection when at the lumber rack. We all enjoyed getting to know you better Jimmy. This presentation was great, thanks.

Presenting a class is a joy and I would love all members to have this experience.
Please, everyone has an interest, skill or knowledge they could share. Try it you'll like it.

Congratulations to Paul and Annette Proffitt as they were selected and commissioned to create a "Tree of Donors" for the dedication of the new Willard Baxter Woodturning Studio at The John C. Campbell Folk School. Your personal honor is shared with each GWA member. We are all very proud Paul and Annette. The first thing I want to see when I visit the school is your "Tree" and I'll tell everyone there, I know Paul.
