Scroll Saw 101

George began by talked about the difference in cuts made by a Band saw and Scroll Saw and then went on to explain about the Scroll Saw's costs and their different configurations, blade types and the differences among leading manufacturers.

George then explained "Segmentation" and "Intarsia" and how he uses DeltaCad to utilize and develop patterns.

"Smitty" Highsmith then talked about portraits his involvement with an international group which is crafting Freedom Portraits of fallen heros of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom by their family's request.  Six hundred portraits have been done so far with thirty by Smitty.  Smitty then went on to show a variety of his work including portraits, fretwork, puzzles and little creatures.

Marty Huczek presented how he's cutting stained glass using a diamond blade cooled by a water drip.  He also briefly discussed a technique of cutting metal by sandwiching it between pieces of wood.
