The Gwinnett Woodworkers Association members provided turning and scroll sawing demonstrations as well as an impressive member's gallery of beautiful pieces for the Grand Opening sale at the new Kentec store in Cumming, GA. We got to know some of the South Forsyth Woodworkers members who were there. We met a lot of interesting woodworkers and a lot of the customers seemed to enjoy the member's gallery and demos.
I want to express our special thanks to Bob Brokaw who spent a lot of his own time coordinating this event with the Cumming and Lilburn Kentec personnel and made certain that our space was reserved and set up. I was very impressed by how smoothly the day went which is in large part due to Bob's efforts. Thank you Bob.
Also, thanks to Dick Douthat, George North, Marty Huzcek, Ed Jandt, Don Stotts and others who did demonstrations and helped with the demonstrations. We also very much appreciate all the members who brought pieces for the gallery that easily filled up four tables. It all served to increase the visibility of woodworking and I think we got several new local contacts as well.
Thanks to Butch Davis for his work in coordination of the demonstrators for this event. At least for me it was a fun and enlightening way to spend a good part of my Saturday. Thanks to all the members who came by to support the GWA and Kentec.
