Nantucket Baskets

Wayne Martin's presentation on Nantucket Lightship Baskets/Handbags was excellent. He gave a history and evolution.  Everyone was watching intensely.  Wayne covered all steps from making the mold, starting the ribs, weaving the basket and making and attaching the rim.  He demonstrated hinges to attach the lid, handle and clasp. There may be a follow up class with a weekend group. Great class!  Thoroughly enjoyed by all.  Thanks Wayne!
