Today Brooke Roberts - Regional Account Manager for DeWalt / Porter Cable / Delta / B&D and supporting experts updated us on brand positioning, and a variety of current and new products for DeWalt, Porter Cable and Delta tools, equipment and accessories.
Richard Redpath overviewed the Porter Cable and DeWalt router features and discussed how some of the equipment design choices are made. He also highlighted key features on the Porter Cable dovetail jig. Michael Boie presented an overview on table saw technology, discussed the two axis tilting table on a new Delta drill press, and pointed out many of the basic decision points on dust collection and air cleaning systems for home shops. Karyn Christiansen positioned the newest in router bits and saw blades.
The members seemed to enjoy this opportunity to talk with the suppliers of some of their favorite tools. Based on the information provided there was substantial activity around the cash register after the extended class. It may have been influenced by the substantial discounts that offered by Brooke - some for today only and some through August 19th. So if you missed today's meeting there are still some discounts available for you as a GWA member.
Thanks to Brooke Roberts, Richard Redpath, Michael Boie and Karyn Christiansen for this interesting and informative class and we invite you to come join us again for future classes. Also, thanks to the several other B&D employees who attended and offered their insights and answers to questions. Thanks also to Ken Vickery and Bob Brokaw for the photos of today's session and to Jim Myrick for working with the video.
